The New Zealand International Arts Festival is a curated festival. Artists are invited to perform by the Artistic Director, Lissa Twomey.
The programming of the Festival is an ongoing process. Lissa Twomey spends part of each year travelling the world in search of artists and performances to bring to Wellington. She works with companies and individual performers to delevop projects and programmes, and this work is often done years in advance.
